I hate my job. I dislike (not hate) my bosses right now. They contradict everything they say, and then it ends up being everyone else's fault when they're wrong.

I hate that I don't have a boyfriend.

I hate that I just watched Bridesmaids and can identify with Kristen Wiig's character (good movie though!). Everyone just seems to be moving on with their lives, and I'm stuck in a rut. Ugh.

Why is losing weight so hard? I'm about to give up on trying to lose weight all-together. I think the only thing I can try at this point that might work is to workout for 2 hours every day and eat basically nothing. It just doesn't seem like anything else will work. I know I need to eat better, but why are there so many tempting foods out there!? They need to band those so I'm not tempted.

I'm getting some new workout DVDs from the library tomorrow so I hope that can help. I have ADD when it comes to workout out; I need variety.

Ugh. I did start my new workout calendar so maybe that will help.

We'll see.

I'm starting a workout calendar where I write down workouts for the month. I'm hoping this can kind of keep me on track with working out. I want to do it more consistently so I think this is a good way to start. If I complete the workout, I'll fill in the box orange.

I'm also going to start weekly weighs in and have that on the chart as well.

Ugh, maybe this is the year I lose weight. Like a lot of weight.

2011 is quickly coming to an end so here are my 2012 New Year's Resolutions.

Let's see how well I can keep up with them.

Eat better (in moderation). I've pretty much gotten the working out thing down so now I just need to eat better and in moderation. No more eating out of a bag; I need to pour whatever it is I'm eating into a bowl so I'm not tempted to eat more. Or I shouldn't eat when I'm bored (story of my life). We'll see how this one goes.
Learn chess. Yes, this resolution is back.
Learn how to use chopsticks. This one is back as well.
Continue to workout. I do it semi-consistently already so I just need to keep at it.
Find a better job. I hope to leave the Y at the end of the school year. I hope.
Try not to let the little things bother me so easily. I need to let the little things go; they're not worth it.
Do something out of my comfort zone (or a few things). I need to try something I wouldn't normally do or really want to do.
Travel. I want to do a day-trip of some sort where I can go and take pictures.
Try and keep my room clean. This one makes me laugh.
Try and do a puzzle (word search, sudoku, hidato, crossword, etc.) before bed a couple times a week.
Make a [complete] bucket list. Maybe I'll even do some of the things on it.
Find a boyfriend. I'm on the hunt. Nah, I'll just settle for meeting a nice guy.
Make 2012 a good year. I don't want to sit on the sidelines and watch everyone else have a good year. I need to make something happen for myself.
Sell a photo. I've been thinking about putting some of my photos on Esty.
Don't buy things I don't need. And spend less on Amazon. I have a bad addiction to online-shopping.
Try and write with my non-dominate hand a couple times a week. I kind of want to be ambidextrous. It may come in hand someday.

I'm really liking the Zumba Fitness 2 for the Wii. It's fun to play, and it doesn't feel like a workout at all. I just decided to go ahead and buy the first Zumba Fitness too. I mean, why not? I heard the second one was better (which is why I bought that one first), but I hear the first one is good too.

I like to dance but hate working out. This is perfect for me since it doesn't feel like a workout.

I really do sweat though!

Day 6 - Favorite Burton "Gus" Guster moment.

I love when he says "Whatttt!" or "You must be out of your damn mind." when Shawn suggests something ridiculous.

I also love his facial expressions. Gus is the more sensible one (most of the time) so it's funny to see Gus' reaction when Shawn says or does something crazy.

I have to pick just one? Yeah right! haha! I love when Shawn says "Gus don't be _______". It's always interesting to see what he comes up with. I also loved when Shawn told Juliet he loved her when they were in Canada. That was more of a sentimental moment, but it was nice to see!

I also love the scenes with Shawn and Lassiter. It's so funny to see how much Lassiter hates Shawn, but in reality, he needs him.

I basically love when Shawn is being Shawn. He's hilarious, and that's why I love this show!

I remember seeing previews for The Polarizing Express and Dead Bear Walking around Christmas time last year so I decided to start from the beginning. Then I got addicted. And here I am.

This show is pure genius. It should get much more recognition than it does. The characters are hilarious. Shawn Spencer is one of the best characters on TV, and of course, you gotta love his "sidekick" and best friend Burton "Gus" Guster.

I love a good comedy, and this is a good comedy.

I'm not gonna lie; I still get freaked out when I'm home alone. I still live at home (I'm 23), and it's a pretty good sized house so it freaks me out when I'm by myself lol. I get paranoid that I hear noises, and that makes me even more paranoid.

The TV has to be on, or I need to listen to music.

Went shooting today!

I finally shot a gun! Guns are interesting, and I've wanted to shoot one for a long time. I watch Top Shot on the History channel, and it just looked so cool.

Well, today I shot some guns! I shot a 22 rifle, a 20 gauge shotgun, and a 12 gauge shotgun...I think? Haha I think that's right!

A friend of my sister's boyfriend shoots on his property so he taught us. Plus, he was cute! And really nice! I think I found my future husband haha

All in all, I had a lot of fun today, and I'm glad I finally got to shoot a gun!!

Maybe next time I can shoot a pistol or something ;)

I decided to watch Grimm on NBC last night, and I'm glad I did! Supernatural is also on at 9:00, but I always tape that to watch over the weekend, so I decided to check out the new show Grimm.

I really like the storyline. It gave me a Supernatural-feel to it, which interested me right off the bat. It's creepy, and it keeps you on your toes. I never really read the Grimm fairy tales (the actual Grimm fairy tales), but of course I know the versions we read to children. The storyline is interesting since everyone knows about the fairy tales, and I'm curious to see how the show portrays them.

I also like the characters. Nick plays the main character, and he's a cop who can see people for who they really are...monsters. He has good chemistry with his partner, and I think they make a good team. A surprising character I liked was Monroe, the blutbod (spelling?), who is a former "big bad wolf" that kind of aides Nick.

Overall, it seems like a pretty good show, and I'll definitely be watching next week!

I just ordered the new iPhone 4s!
I got off work at 12:30pm instead of 6:00pm.
It was a beautiful Fall day.

I had to wake up at 5:45am.
I had to order the iPhone 4S because THE STORE RAN OUT! Ugh.
I won't get my new phone until the 29th at the earliest.
I've realized I'm really impatient when I want things and can't have them right away (ex. iPhone, camera lens).

Yes, it's true.

I am going to get an iPhone. I initially didn't want one because I have an iPod touch, and it's almost the same thing except it can't call or text. Well, my phone can get an upgrade, and I thought, why not?

I loveeeeee my iPod touch so I know I'm going to loveeeeee the iPhone.

I just ordered 2 cases and some screen protectors, which is why I'm waiting until next Saturday to get the actual phone.

I'm pretty excited...not gonna lie.

The Yankees lost to the Tigers last night 3-2. They tied the series up at 2-2, but couldn't beat the Tigers in the final division game.

Bachelor Pad.

Okay, I hate admitting this, and it's a little embarrassing, but I think I'm addicted to Bachelor Pad. The finale aired last night, and I just watched it. It was so good haha. I get really invested in their lives, and it's just so interesting!

Here's my take on the night:

I felt bad Kirk and Ella got eliminated at the first challenge. I was a little tired of hearing Ella talk about winning the money for her son (that got old fast), but I was a little mad Kirk had to leave too. He seems like such a great guy!

I was glad Mike/Holly and Graham/Michelle were the final two couples. I was SO happy to see Kasey/Vienna leave; they're just so annoying!

I love Jake. I believe him and his side of the story. I feel bad he ever got involved with Vienna; she's crazy.

I'm glad Kasey apologized to Jake, and Kasey seems like he really did change. In the house, he came off like such a jerk, and I'm glad he at least apologized about it.

Vienna is still crazy.

Michelle and Graham are basically the cutest couple on the planet. I was a little surprised they weren't voted to the final two; I really thought they would be! Oh well, they have each other...and I hope they get married some day!

Speaking of married, I'm so happy for Blake and Holly and their engagement! I was really shocked they got engaged, but they're really cute together, and I can tell he really loves her. I did feel bad for Mike and how he found out at the finale.

I knew Mike and Holly would both chose "share" and split the money; we all knew they would.

Yeah, seriously, I think I'm addicted. This show is so sad that it's soooo good! haha

Oh, and I'm still sad Ames and Jackie aren't still together; they had the most romantic exit in Bachelor history too - oh well! :(

Been a little M.I.A lately...

My computer wouldn't turn on so we called Dell, and they said it was a hard-drive issue. We sent my old hard-drive to a company to see if they can recover my files (I'm PRAYING they can!) so even though I got a new hard-drive, I haven't really been on my computer lately. I'm using our home computer now.

Hopefully I can get all my files back, and then I'll be on my own computer more.

So my computer wouldn't start the other day, and it turns out it's a hard-drive issue. I got my new hard-drive today, and we also sent my old one to this company to see if they can RECOVER MY FILES!

I'm basically going to cry myself to sleep for the rest of my life if they can't recover my files. My whole life is on my computer so I'm crossing my fingers they can do it!!!!!

It's been nice having 2 days off because of Hurricane Irene, but it's back to business today! Getting up at 5:45 was a little hard, not gonna lie; I didn't miss that! The morning went well. We didn't have our Kindergartners since it was gradual release, and we won't have them this afternoon either so it won't be too bad.

I didn't think finding the right hair color would be soooo annoying! I THOUGHT I found one, but after looking online, I saw a review that said it comes out really dark. The color I choose is Dark Red Copper Brown so it's already dark; I don't want it looking like black when I'm done.

Maybe I'll see if I can exchange it tomorrow? Ugh, I just wanna dye my hair!

I want a really dark auburn. I feel like my hair is lighter than it normally is, so I want something dark, but with a red tint.

I really like this show. It's under-appreciated though, which is a total bummer because it's pretty good. The actors are decent (not George Clooney but still good). It stinks that it's on Friday night because I think that's the worst night for TV (I still catch it though! or tape it lol).

Tonight's episode was the summer finale, and apparently the show won't be on CBS anymore - why, I don't know. It might come back on ION? It's not canceled so it's coming back somewhere lol.

It was a great episode tonight. It revolved around my favorite character Spike. He left his dying father's side to help his team defuse a bomb. Sergio Di Zio (Spike) was spot-on tonight; he was perfect in the episode.

I can't wait for Flashpoint to come back...and it better come back! ;)

I really like this quote, and it definitely applies to my life right now. I'm not really pursuing a teaching job at the moment; I like my job as a SAS Director. It's hard finding out my friends are getting teaching jobs, but how can I be mad? I'm not trying to get one myself right now, and I'm still confused as to if I even want to do it. I know once I become a teacher I'll love it. It's just right now I'm content where I am, and I don't want things to change. "Everything happens for a reason." I truly believe that quote, and if I'm meant to work for the Y another year, then so be it. I'll become a teacher when I'm ready. Like the quote says, to get success, you need to take it one step at a time so that's what I'm doing.

Of course my biggest insecurity is my body. Most girls aren't happy with the way they look, and yes, I'm one of them. Losing weight is hard, but it's sort of coming along.

Day 17: a picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently
(okay, I may have let this project slip through the cracks. I'm back though!)

I guess the only thing (recently) that has impacted my life was becoming the director at a new camp this summer. I had never been a director of a camp before (only assistant director), but I learned a lot, and I had a great summer.

Camp ends in 2 days, and I have to say, overall, it was a fun summer! :)

I decided to click the "Next blog" tab at the top to see if I could find any cool or interesting blogs. It was pretty much a failure though. I found a lot of blogs that talked about religion and politics, which are two things I pretty much know nothing about.

#17 - What are you a "natural" at doing?

I would say I'm a natural at working/talking with kids. For some reason, I get along with them better than adults. I love working with kids (have been for 7 years), and it's just easier for me sometimes to talk with them.

Carrie had bridesmaids in her wedding who had kids, and I had fun playing and talking with them, and one of them told me I was great with her kids. It's just easy for me to talk to kids.

I would like to be a bird because then I could fly and travel pretty much anywhere. I'm not really sure what I would expect, but I would like to just fly and view the world from the sky; I think that would be kind of cool.

#15 - When did you ever immediately "click" with someone you just met? What was the long-term result? To what do you attribute that kind of connection?

I probably last "clicked" with someone right off the bat when I met Carrie. She was in one of my education classes, and I really liked her children's book so I told her that. She came off as a really nice person.

The long-term result is that we're best friends! I was just in her wedding a couple weeks ago. We roomed together our senior year of college too. We just get along; she's the type of person I can tell anything too. She wouldn't judge me either.

I think we "click" because we're both easy-going people. Also, we both are both Early Childhood Education majors so we have that in common as well. When one of us stresses, the other one can calm them down; we balance each other nicely.

Jurassic Park, which ended up scarring me for life! I don't think I've seen that movie since (maybe bits and pieces), but I have no desire to watch it again. I think I saw it when I was 5 so I was pretty much doomed for the rest of my life when it came to dinosaurs! haha ;)

I think I'm obsessed. Numb3rs is such a fascinating show; it's addicting to watch.

The story lines keep you guessing, and the characters are fun to watch.

I wish it wasn't canceled.

I'm in the middle of watching season 4, and there's 6 seasons; I don't want it to end!

Even though I can't understand Charlie and his Math half the time, the show is so interesting to watch!

Tomorrow is my last day with my kiddos. I can't believe how quickly the school year has gone. It's been a great first year as Director though; I had a good group of kids, the parents were nice and welcoming, and my staff was great.

Also, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were in it too - I can explain that one though. I just watched The Voice yesterday with Blake, and I watched the CMT awards and both Blake and Miranda won.
