What's the deal with American Idol?

I mean seriously people! How is Sanjaya still on the show?? He's awful! and I can't believe Chris Richardson was in the bottom 2!...and that Stephanie went home! Why do they let America vote?...WE MUST BE ON DRUGS OR SOMETHING!
