I was able to go to an advance screening of the movie Push tonight and here's what I thought. I won't give away any spoilers about the movie, but I will say that I thought it was really good. Now, incase you have no idea what I'm talking about, here's a summary: This scifi action film involves a group of young American expatriates with telekinetic, telepathic, and clairvoyant abilities, hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency referred to as "Division." They try to find the only woman that ever escaped from "Division". She is their only key to finding out how to escape the agency. They must also use their different talents and band together for a final job enabling them to escape the agency forever.
I liked the movie for a couple reasons: 1) It was different. I've never really seen anything with this type of storyline, and I liked that. 2) It dealt with scifi. I love scifi and seeing them have powers was really cool to watch (the effects were great!). 3) Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning did a great job together. At first, you might think they'd make a weird team, and in a way, they kind of did. However, I think that's why it worked so well. Plus, their acting was good too. 4) It was serious/funny in just the right amounts. There was very little humor, but when it happened, it worked. 5) It was just exciting! I was interested the entire time and was never bored. So overall, I thought it was pretty good. Now, if you don't really like scifi, I'm not sure you'll enjoy this film as much, but I still think you would like it; it had a little something for everyone.
