Books I read this summer (2007)

(1) Chasing the Dead by Joe Schreiber -
It was definitely weirder than I thought it was going to be, but I really liked it. Kind of creepy at some parts (it has a little scifi in it), but it was interesting and it kept my attention. The ending was great, and I can't wait for his next book. It wasn't a hard book to read either. You can get a summary here: Chasing the Dead at Amazon.com

(2) Don't Kiss Them Good-bye by Allison DuBois -
This is a non-fiction book and I really enjoyed it. Allison DuBois is a medium and the book is based on her and about her life and her readings she does. It's a very interesting book if you like this type of thing (which I do) and even if you wouldn't read something like this, it's enjoyable for anyone. The TV show Medium is actually based on her. You can get a summary here: Don't Kiss Them Good-bye atAmazon.com

(3) We Are Their Heaven by Allison DuBois -
This is Allison's second book and I really enjoyed it. It's interesting like the first. If you read her first book and like it, I suggest you read this one. You can get a summary here: We Are Their Heaven at Amazon.com

(4) Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult -
One of my new favorite books. I loved it. The storyline is so interesting and it keeps you guessing. I highly recommend this book. And the truth it, stuff like what happened in this book, happens in real life. It's kind of sad to think about it but it does. Nineteen Minutes was well-written and real. It's a great book. You can get a summary here: Nineteen Minutes at Amazon.com

(5) Body Count by P.D. Martin -
Another new favorite. I absolutely LOVED this book! I finished this 376-page book in two and a half days...it was just that good! There was twists and turns in every chapter, along with romance and intensity. I got so into this book when reading it. I definitely reccommend this book. It was great! (6) Now You See Me by Tina Wainscott -
Wow, another great book! I finished this book in a day - it was that good! This book remind me of Body Count, so maybe that's why I liked it so much! It's about a woman who was kidnapped at an early age and was left blind from the abduction and was left with a psychic gift. Sixteen years later, another kidnapping is taking place - but this time she can see through the eyes of the little girl who was kidnapped. I definitely recommend this book! You can get a summary here: Now You See Me at Amazon.com

(7) Held Hostage by Michelle Renee -
Held Hostage is a non-fiction book based on an actual kidnapping of a mother and daughter. It was pretty interesting. I couldn't imagine going through something like that. You can get a summary here: Held Hostage at Amazon.com
